LifeguardTraining Information

All employees must hold two valid certifications from approved certifying agencies:  Lifeguard and CPRPro (CPR for the Professional Rescuer).  If you are already certified, all you need to do is fill out an employment application on this website and bring your original certification cards with you to the interview.  If you are not yet certified, we offer a combined Lifeguarding/CPRPro course as well as CPR-Only course.

Approved Certifying Agencies:

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPRPro
  • YMCA Lifeguarding and CPRPro
  • Starguard Lifeguard with CPR
  • American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider (not Heartsaver)

We are unable to accept Ellis and Associates certificates unless you have your certificate validated for universal usage (for use outside of a waterpark).  This must be done through Ellis and Associates.

Our Courses:

Lifeguard Training (Includes CPRPro)

This class is designed for the first year lifeguard or a guard that has let his/her lifeguard certification expire.  After successful completion of this course, you will be certified in Lifeguarding (3 years) and CPR for Lifeguards (1 year). Get more information and sign up.

CPRPro (CPR for the Professional Rescuer)

This class is designed for currently certified lifeguards that need to be recertified in adult, child and infant CPR.  Please keep in mind that a CPRPro certification is only good for 1 year.  This class open to current AMH employees only. Get more information and sign up.
